Hey NAFASG! Thanks for dropping by! I'll be sure to check your blog regularly!
Hey like some of the themes, but did you know the blue theme comes up a 404 error? Of course that's the one I chose right?
Hey Vanessa! Thanks for visiting. I will have a look at it right now to see what the problem is and upload an updated version very soon!
Problem fixed. You should be able to download it now!
Hi Adam,
Thank you for the mention on your site. But I need some help. I hope you've seen the site lately, but I still need to know:
1. How to find the sidebar texts that takes out the double spacing between text lines and to change the colors.
2. How to remove the white text in the header panel.
3.Why the fonts and colors feature is an empty box
Hey Vanessa!
1. When you're in your Edit HTML panel check the box that says "Expand Widget Template." Then scroll down until you see these set of codes:
.secondary {
font: 1em/1.5em 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif;
padding: 10px 0 0px;
margin: 0 0 0 10px;
width: 180px;
color: #858585;
float: left;
display: inline;
/* The following are IE Fixes */
/*_padding: 30px 0 10px;
_margin-left: 4%;
_margin-right: -4%;
_width: 26.5%;*/ /* IE hack */
}
.tertiary {
font: 1em/1.5em 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif;
padding: 10px 0 0px;
margin: 0 0 0 30px;
width: 180px;
color: #858585;
float: left;
display: inline;
/* The following are IE Fixes */
/*_padding: 30px 0 10px;
_margin-left: 4%;
_margin-right: -4%;
_width: 26.5%;*/ /* IE hack */
}
You can change the spacing by editing the font: 1em/1.5em 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif;
1em indicates the size of the font and 1.5em indicates the spacing of the font.
2. Once again you should expand your widget template and scroll down until you see this set of codes:
/* DELETE THIS AND ADD YOUR ADSENSE CODES HERE 200X200 HEADER */
And just delete that! It's better if you cut and paste the whole expanded widget template to a text editor and use CTRL+F to find what you're looking for faster. Originally I had designed this template as an Adsense Ready template, hence why I put those markers there.
3. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking me here.
Hope that helps and please show me what you mean by #3.
Cheers!
3. Maybe you were asking me why in the header I left a white box initially? It's because originally this template was designed as an Adsense Ready template and I left the box so that people can place a 200X200 Adsense block in the header. Instead of putting an ad in the header you can upload a different header! Just make sure the header is 1024X200 and you should be fine.
hi adam! i used this template but i have problems in downloading it. anyway, i'll add you to my link. have a nice day!
hey poetic, could you tell me what exactly what the problem is when you tried to download it? Thanks I'll add you as well!
Hi Adam,
This is a gorgeous template and looked great on my Children's literature blog BUT I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to change the video and get blogger to accept the code. I kept getting parse errors and i diligently hunted down any open tags - there were none. For some reason, it was reading the Youtube code as open tags. Beyond that, I couldn't figure out to get my old link list widget data to copy either and after three days and very little sleep, i gave up and switched back to the old template. Any advice so I could use this gorgeous thing?
Hey Gina! I'll have a look at it for you! I'll try to figure out the problem asap! Please check back soon.
it loads fine when I try to upload it. did you remember to expand your template widget and cutting and pasting the code directly in? with the sidebar widget you might I have to reload it manually or you can rename the sidebar codes to what you had orginally... that might work but I'm not entirely sure! I'm only an amateur designer :( sorry.
also, this template is an adsense ready template so when you load it there will be empty spaces where your adsense codes should be. If you want me to modify it so I take out all the ads and fill in the empty spaces, please let me know.
Hi Adam,
Thanks for responding so quickly! I get the part about the adsense codes and the template loads beautifully. The parse errors happen when I switch out the video. I am keeping the size specifications but it just won't switch out the video. I figure I'm probably going to have to manually re-do my link lists. i had hoped to be able to copy the widget code but it just won't accept it. The blog in question is Cuentecitos and I was trying to upload a Julieta Venegas video.
oh and yes I am expanding my widget templates.
Hey Gina, I'll have a look at the video codes. Usually you just have to delete the orginal youtube codes and add your own and change the dimensions to match what I have originally so that it can fit. Can you post the link to the actual video you want to replace and I'll have a look at it?
Hey Adam,
That's what I thought and what I kept on doing. It seems to get stuck on the param name. the link to the video is here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=aVVqdNOaFTk
hey Gina! figured out the problem. You have to take "&rel=1" out. Just delete that from the code and also change double quotations into single i.e. " into '. Hope that helps!
Hi Adam,
Thanks so much for all your help. It worked but now Blogger is erroring. Gah! I've about had it.
I'm adding you to my link lists at both my books blogs as well as at my new Mexican cooking site - Dona Lupe's Kitchen. Thanks again!
Hi Adam I'm trying to download the blue template and an error message is coming up. is this template still available?
Yes the template is still available. maybe try using firefox? Cheers!
